VARIANTAI.LT Privacy Policy

1. General provisions

1.1. The website www.variantai.lt (hereinafter — the Website) is owned and administered by MB Variantai (company code: 306133252; registered office: Dailidžių k. 7, Trakai district) (hereinafter — VARIANTAI.LT).1.2. This Privacy Policy is a written document setting out the privacy provisions (hereinafter — the Privacy Policy) that apply to all persons using the Website and the Services. The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the meanings defined in the Website Terms of Use (hereinafter — the Terms) (use of the Website, Service, etc.), except where certain terms are separately defined in this Privacy Policy.1.3. By using the Website and/or the Services in any way or form, the Visitor unconditionally and irrevocably undertakes to comply with all requirements set out in this Privacy Policy. If the Visitor does not agree to unconditionally and irrevocably accept and comply with all obligations set out in this Privacy Policy, the Visitor has no right to use the Website and/or the Services.1.4. VARIANTAI.LT has the right to unilaterally amend and/or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. Amendments to the Privacy Policy take effect upon publication on the Website. If the Visitor continues to use the Website and/or the Services after amendments enter into force, it is considered that the Visitor unambiguously agrees with all amendments and/or supplements to the Privacy Policy. If the Visitor does not agree with the amended and/or supplemented Privacy Policy, the Visitor loses the right to use the Website and/or the Services.1.5. The collection, processing and storage of personal data is governed by this Privacy Policy, the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts.1.6. Payments in the online store are processed using the makecommerce.lt platform, operated by Maksekeskus AS (Liivalaia 45, Tallinn 10145, Estonia, reg. no.: 12268475); therefore, your personal information required to execute and confirm a payment will be transferred to Maksekeskus AS.

2. Data collected by VARIANTAI.LT

2.1. The Website and the Services can be used, or used fully, only after completing the registration procedure on the Website. The registration procedure is performed by clicking the relevant link on the Website, filling in all mandatory fields of the registration form (name, surname, email address, phone number, login password) and, at the Visitor’s choice, optional fields, thereby providing data about oneself to VARIANTAI.LT (hereinafter — the Data).2.2. VARIANTAI.LT has the right, at its own discretion, to use all data provided by the Visitor during the registration procedure, as well as data about the Visitor collected by VARIANTAI.LT in other ways.2.3. Data collected when the Visitor completes the registration procedure and/or uses the Website and/or the Services is divided into:2.3.1. Anonymous data. VARIANTAI.LT collects anonymous data relating to facts that cannot be attributed to an individual Visitor. For example, VARIANTAI.LT collects certain information each time a Visitor visits the Website in order to improve the browsing experience. VARIANTAI.LT collects the IP addresses of all Visitors and related data (e.g., the address of the last website the person visited before entering the VARIANTAI.LT portal) and the types of browsers and operating systems (e.g., Firefox browser, Windows OS). VARIANTAI.LT also collects general search expressions from various search engines for internal advertising purposes. VARIANTAI.LT collects this information from all Visitors for the purposes of monitoring and improving the Services and direct advertising. VARIANTAI.LT also collects information about the Visitor’s answers to questions presented on the Websites in order to learn the Visitor’s opinion about the Services and the advertising placed on the Websites. VARIANTAI.LT receives this information from all Visitors, regardless of whether they are registered or not.2.3.2. Personal data. This is data that can be used to identify a specific Visitor. Within the meaning of the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania, this data is considered personal data. Such data is collected and processed only with the Visitor’s consent, in the following ways:2.3.2.1. Registration: when registering on the Website, the Visitor must provide the following data: name, surname, email address, phone number, login password. The Visitor may voluntarily also provide the following information: personal identification number (if they wish to receive an invoice), home address (if they wish ordered goods to be delivered to their home).2.3.2.2. Correspondence and communication: if the Visitor contacts VARIANTAI.LT, VARIANTAI.LT may keep records of such communication and other related information.2.3.2.4. VARIANTAI.LT has the right to collect data about the Visitor when they log in to the Website. This data shows which pages of the Website the Visitor visits, at what times and how often, and which services they use. This information also includes data the Visitor submits on the Website.2.4. The data subject may at any time contact the administration of the VARIANTAI.LT online store by email at info@variantai.lt to review the data collected about them and to demand that it be corrected, destroyed, or that the processing of their personal data be suspended.

3. Data recipients

3.1. VARIANTAI.LT manages, processes and uses the collected Anonymous data for self-promotion and other similar purposes. Anonymous data may be transferred to third parties and may also be published publicly.3.2. VARIANTAI.LT processes the collected Personal data in strict compliance with the provisions of the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania. VARIANTAI.LT processes Personal data only for the following purposes: to establish the identity and contact details of a person purchasing goods on the Website; to create a login account on the forum operating on the Website; to establish the identity and contact details of persons who, using a special module installed on the Website, wish to submit complaints and suggestions to VARIANTAI.LT; and, with the Visitor’s consent, for direct marketing purposes. Personal information is not transferred to any third parties, except where required by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.3.3. The Website may contain active links (“hyperlinks”) to other websites. Some of those websites may collect the Visitor’s personal information, and advertising websites may use cookies and web beacons in their advertisements to collect information about the Visitor. The VARIANTAI.LT Privacy Policy and its provisions do not cover the privacy policies of third parties or their provisions on information collection. VARIANTAI.LT is not and cannot be held responsible for any actions of third parties collecting information about the Visitor.3.4. The data subject has the right to receive information about the data recipients to whom their personal data was provided during the last year.

4. Cookies and web beacons

4.1. The Visitor understands and agrees that VARIANTAI.LT collects Anonymous data using cookies and web beacons.4.2. A cookie is a small text document with a unique identification number that is transferred from a website to the hard drive of the Visitor’s computer so that the website administrator can distinguish the Visitor’s computer and see the Visitor’s activity online. The unique number identifies the Visitor’s browser each time the Visitor visits the Website. Cookies do not allow websites to memorise any personal information about the Visitor (such as the Visitor’s name and address) that the Visitor might forget to keep private. Cookies allow VARIANTAI.LT to automatically remember the type of the Visitor’s web browser when the Visitor visits the Websites. In order to offer the Visitor the best possible quality of services, VARIANTAI.LT uses cookies to:4.3.1. provide products and services in the highest quality and most effective manner. By storing certain information in cookie files or by linking cookies to the registration process, favourite pages or a short description of the Visitor in the VARIANTAI.LT computer system, VARIANTAI.LT can deliver the Services much faster and more efficiently to a larger number of Visitors. This information is usually stored in an encrypted form that only VARIANTAI.LT can decrypt;4.3.2. protect the Visitor against unlawful use of their Data;4.3.3. keep statistics, such as the number of Visitors and traffic. Such information is not linked to the Visitor’s personal information.4.4. The use of cookies is an industry standard, so they are used on most websites. It is possible to prevent cookies from entering the Visitor’s computer or to block all forms of cookies. In that case, some of the Services may work partially or not at all.4.5. Web beacons are small graphic files that VARIANTAI.LT may place on the Websites and in emails that VARIANTAI.LT sends to the Visitor. Together, cookies and web beacons allow VARIANTAI.LT to accurately count the number of unique Visitors on the websites and the number of impressions of the relevant websites. Using web beacons, VARIANTAI.LT can also find out how many times a specific website whose advertisement was sent to the Visitor by email was viewed. Such information is not linked to the Visitor’s personal information.4.6. Any image on the Website may be a web beacon. Third parties advertising on the Websites or in other ways may use web beacons in their advertising.4.7. Since web beacons operate together with cookies, the Visitor can prevent web beacons from collecting their information by setting their browser to reject all cookies, or only the Website’s cookies.

5. Use of Visitor information

5.1. VARIANTAI.LT has the right, at its own discretion, to use all collected information about the Visitor fully and in any manner not prohibited by the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania. The following are examples of the purposes for which VARIANTAI.LT may use information collected about a specific Visitor:5.1.1. to edit the Content in the way most relevant to the Visitor. In some cases, VARIANTAI.LT needs accurate data about the Visitor in order to offer specialised Services and targeted advertising;5.1.2. VARIANTAI.LT accumulates the Visitor’s anonymous data and shares it with third parties (e.g., advertisers). To such parties, VARIANTAI.LT discloses information about the number of Visitors, the number of Visitors who saw a particular advertisement and/or clicked on a particular link on a particular Website, and so on. VARIANTAI.LT may also provide aggregate demographic statistics of those Visitors who noticed and clicked the link of the respective advertiser. VARIANTAI.LT may also disclose anonymous survey results. This process generally does not disclose any of the Visitor’s personal information;5.1.3. VARIANTAI.LT also uses aggregate data for statistical analysis of the general characteristics and behaviour of Visitors in order to identify needs related to particular parts of the Website and to analyse how and where to use available resources most effectively. Without this data, VARIANTAI.LT would not know which parts of the Website are most popular and could not properly modify and edit the Content and the Services offered;5.1.4. VARIANTAI.LT may use the Visitor’s personal information to contact the Visitor and inform them about changed or updated Services, as well as about the Visitor’s accounts or violations of the Terms. If the Visitor participates in games or contests organised on the Website, VARIANTAI.LT may use the Visitor’s information if the Visitor wins and VARIANTAI.LT needs to contact them;5.1.5. VARIANTAI.LT may send emails or postal letters, as well as short messages (SMS) to the Visitor’s mobile phone, with information about Services that, in VARIANTAI.LT’s opinion, would interest the Visitor. The aforementioned information is sent only if the Visitor has given their consent.

6. Security measures

6.1. VARIANTAI.LT uses software and other measures aimed at protecting the Data of all Visitors. Only authorised VARIANTAI.LT employees and/or other persons authorised by VARIANTAI.LT may access the Visitor’s Data.6.2. VARIANTAI.LT asks the Visitor to be careful when using and storing the Data, as the Visitor is personally responsible for the confidentiality of all Data. The Visitor should log out of the browser after finishing work to be sure that no one will access the Visitor’s email or personal information, especially in cases where the Visitor uses a publicly accessible computer (e.g., in an internet café or library). VARIANTAI.LT also warns that the Visitor should be careful and should not disclose their personal information (such as the Visitor’s real name, personal identification number, email address, bank account codes, etc.) to third parties while using the Website and/or the Services. Such information may be used against the Visitor’s interests, including for acts such as fraud, sending unsolicited emails, and the like.6.3. VARIANTAI.LT undertakes to make efforts to protect the Visitor’s personal data processed by VARIANTAI.LT; however, given that the Visitor’s information is transmitted over an internet connection, VARIANTAI.LT warns that it cannot and does not guarantee the security of any information transmitted by the Visitor, including personal data.6.4. VARIANTAI.LT cares about the protection of the rights of minors and restricts their ability to use certain Services intended for adults only. Therefore, separate parts of the Website may be intended for adults only. Minor Visitors are strictly prohibited from entering such parts of the Website. The Visitor is also responsible not only for their own conduct on the Website but also for the conduct of their minor children or other persons under their care, if they use the Website in the Visitor’s environment, with their permission, or using the Visitor’s hardware.

7. Software used on the Website and its installation

7.1. VARIANTAI.LT may make available for installation software of its own choosing intended for the use of certain Services. The Visitor understands and agrees that VARIANTAI.LT may restrict the Visitor’s ability to use certain Services in cases where particular software is not installed. Such software may be created by VARIANTAI.LT or by third parties. The software may be designed to independently contact VARIANTAI.LT’s or third parties’ hardware in order for the installed software to function, as well as to allow the Visitor to learn about updates and improvements to such software. The terms of use of such software are set out in a separate agreement, the text of which is available to the Visitor when installing such software.
