Supplier product import

Supplier product import for your e-shop: products appear in your catalogue automatically, and prices and stock keep updating on their own. You focus on selling, while your catalogue stays tidy and up to date without manual copying.

What we can do for your e-shop

We connect your suppliers’ data to your shop so that your catalogue is complete, well organised and up to date. We work with WooCommerce (WordPress) stores and custom-built shops.

XML, CSV, Excel files or API

We import products from supplier XML product feeds, CSV or Excel files, or directly from the supplier’s system via API. In most cases there is no need to ask the supplier for a different format.

One supplier or several

You can start with one supplier and add more later. Products from all your suppliers appear in one unified catalogue.

Automatic price and stock updates

Products are synchronised regularly, at an agreed frequency. Shoppers see current prices and stock levels, and you no longer have to check them by hand.

Markups and pricing rules

Markups can be set by supplier, category, product price or other criteria, and prices can be rounded to convenient amounts. When a supplier’s price changes, your price is recalculated using the same rules.

Category mapping

We map supplier categories to your shop’s categories so that products end up where shoppers look for them.

Images, specifications and descriptions

The images, technical specifications and descriptions provided by the supplier are imported with each product. Specifications can be used in your catalogue filters.

Clear product titles

We turn unclear or overly long supplier titles into consistent, easy-to-read names, so shoppers immediately understand what the product is.

Product feeds for marketplaces and ads

We prepare product feeds from your catalogue for marketplaces and ad catalogues such as Google and Meta. They update together with your shop.

Multiple suppliers and other complex cases

An import is rarely just a matter of moving data. We agree in advance how your shop should behave in everyday trading situations.

The same product from several suppliers

It is shown only once in your shop, and you decide which supplier’s offer takes priority – for example, the cheaper one or the one that has the product in stock.

Products the supplier no longer has

Such a product can be hidden, marked as temporarily unavailable or left available to order with a longer delivery time – whichever suits you best.

New and discontinued products

New supplier products can appear in your shop automatically or wait for your approval. Products the supplier has discontinued are hidden from shoppers.

Only the products you want

You can select specific categories, brands or a price range, so that products you do not want to sell stay out of your catalogue.

Your edits are kept

If you have changed a title, description or price yourself, we can agree that the next update will not overwrite your changes.

When to get in touch

Supplier product import will help you if you recognise at least one of these situations.

  • You still add products to your shop by hand.
  • Prices and stock levels on your website lag behind the supplier’s data.
  • Customers order products the supplier no longer has.
  • You work with several suppliers and their products overlap.
  • Supplier titles and descriptions are messy or hard for shoppers to understand.
  • Your current import is unreliable or no one maintains it any more.
  • You are planning to start working with a new supplier.

Frequently asked questions

How much does supplier product import cost?

The cost depends on the number of suppliers, the data they provide and the rules you need, such as markups or category mapping. Once we have assessed your situation, we send you a free, no-obligation quote.

How long will it take to set up the import?

It depends on the scope of work. We give you a specific timeline in the quote once we know how many suppliers you have and what you need.

What will you need from me?

The supplier data you already receive (files, links or access to the supplier’s system), your pricing rules and access to your shop. If anything is missing, we will help you work out what to ask your supplier for.

Does my supplier have to provide data in a special format?

Usually not – we work with what your supplier already provides: XML, CSV or Excel files, or an API. We assess the options during our first conversation.

Can you connect the import to my existing e-shop?

Yes, the import can be set up for a shop that is already up and running. We most often handle WooCommerce product imports; for other shops, we assess the options before sending a quote.

What happens if a supplier changes its data or I want to add a new supplier?

We can continue to maintain the import for you: adapt it to supplier changes and connect new suppliers. Support terms are agreed separately, based on your needs.
